We only stayed in LA for three days and we spent it at Palihouse in Santa Monica which is a boutique beach lodge hotel a few minutes walk from Santa Monica Pier. It has gorgeous courtyards and tasty food served throughout the day.
We stayed in the two bedroom residence which was basically like a house. There were two floors on which stood its own kitchen and living room, not that we ever used them much! What I loved most about it was the quirky interior and especially the horns on the wall in the bedroom. I would recommend staying here if you're ever in Santa Monica. The whole aura of the place felt really individual almost oldy worldy but really modern at the same time. You could never predict what the next room would even look like.
