Aveda: Review

We went out shopping in London recently, so my mother and I went in Aveda, see site (Here). Now I'm going to be honest I don't think I have ever heard of Aveda the brand before. Although reassured by the woman in the shop they are a professional brand a lot of hair dressers use.

What attracted us to the shop was the sign that said Hair damage remedy's, and my hair is in the worst condition of my life. The shop assistant did a test on us all testing for damage or dryness or just both. She tested if the hair would break when tugged, she said my hair was both dry and damaged .... just great! Although I was expecting it as not long ago I did dye my hair bleach blonde which wasn't very good for it at all, my mother did pre warn me but like usual I ignored her .... I  wanted it done regardless. I have been trying to get it back to the way it was before, I have cut off a lot of my hair to help get rid of the dye.
Well anyway after about an hour and a half in the shop and my mother getting a few testers on her hair etc.. we managed to get out of there not empty handed though!
We bought the daily hair repair £22.50 and the intensive restructuring treatment £29.50 conditioners.
The daily one was a leave in conditioner and the restructuring one was to be left in for 3 minutes whilst in the shower and then washed out. I have been using them for a week or so now and I can already tell the difference in my hair. It is softer not so dry, it also has a great healthy look to it.

I would purchase these items again, I think they are relatively expensive though and not something I would usually spend this amount of money on.
The Small bottle the Be curly one was a tester she gave to me because of my curly hair, this definitely boosts the curl you get, which was good for me.

The orange bottle, Sun care - Hair and body cleanser £17.50 we got  for my sister as her hair after holidays or after her swimming lessons goes really strange, dry and makes it look even thinner.
She needed something to take all the chlorine/salt out of her hair and also protect it in the sun. This has improved the look of her hair and is great for kids as is not harsh on the skin at all.

Have you ever tried any of the Aveda products? Have you ever even heard of the make?

Russell & Bromley

Ever since I was little I can remember wanting to have a pair of Russell and Bromley shoes. I Adore them and well I guess you can say at the age of 18 I finally convinced myself I needed them now more than ever. The lady in the shop was saying how gorgeous they were and you know how convincing they get when they put their sales voices on! Plus (such a bonus) they were in the sale finally!!! They are the Chester - Tassel loafer in Yellow Calf. I paid £125.00 but the colours that are not in the sale are £165.00.
See Website Here.

I Bought the Yellow.... I thought yellow was the perfect colour for the summer! It is not usually a colour I would pick for myself but I really am liking them, they are bright and different.

I don't think I have ever bought something that I have loved this much ... I just want to get motherly and start cleaning them all the time and getting all upset when a stray mark appears.

I am actually too scared to wear them cause what if they get dirty!! but anyway I am sure you will see them dotted around in my future fashion posts.

Do you like them? What colour would you pick they have them in loads of colours.

Benefit Haul/Review

I recently went a bit crazy buying Benefit Cosmetics make up just cause I needed a change from my usual Mac make up. I am a huge fan of the 'They're real mascara' £19.50 so I thought I'd try the other products in the range to see if they are as good. The mascara is the world best selling mascara so it sounds like I'm not the only one who loves it! It makes your lashes look fuller and your eyes look wider and are perfectly framed.

The 'They're real push-up liner' lash hugging eyeliner pen I got because I seriously need to practice my eye liner application and it looks so so easy to do on all the videos I have watched, I like the rubber applicator at the end of the stick it makes straight/curved lines so easy to apply. I have generally found this a lot easier to other ones I have tried in the past, I struggle with pots and brushes as the ends don't stay pointed so the lines don't end up how you visioned they would do. The eyeliner is £18.50 and the remover is £14.50. I have used the mascara for ages without using the remover, so I know this isn't necessary to get the make-up off just a lot easier. You can buy any oil based make up remover though and it will come off easier than a face wipe.

I also bought 'The girl meets pearl', a golden pink liquid pearl £24.50. This is something I have been umming and ahhing about for quite some time. I didn't know if I wanted to pay that much to just try something I don't really need. I'm glad I finally gave in and bought it now though, the dab top and twist bottom ensures you don't waste any product. This highlighter is a great product and one I would definitely get again. It shines and shimmers but not in a glittery way so its subtle, great for cheek bones to enhance the natural face structure and also down the centre on the nose.

I adore how Benefit market their products and how different their packaging is, you can 100% tell by the packaging that its Benefit even it didn't say on the box. The Benefit Cosmetics website even has videos on how to apply the products and what they all do, its amazing go take a look.

Do any of you like these products? Any tips on how to best to use them, I'm always open to ideas!

Malaga // Hotel and City Review

Travelling is one of my favourite things to do. So when my mum asked if I wanted to go along on a four day trip to Malaga to help babysit Francesca my three year old sister, I jumped at the chance to have a few days off work and get to see a new place. We go to Spain quite a lot (my stepdad owns a company out there), I have been to various different locations but I had never actually been to Malaga's old town.

We stayed in the vincci seleccion posada del Patio 5*, it was a definitely a short stay hotel I couldn't imagine staying longer than 4 days, but it was friendly enough. I was rather gutted about the lack of a spa/salon and the gym was very limited, (this was my excuse to why the gym clothes never stepped foot out of my wardrobe). However, the rooms and pool were a good standard what you would expect from a nice city hotel. The breakfast was good, if your not bothered about your weight that is, they had a pot of melted chocolate with marshmallows and fruit. Francesca wouldn't eat anything else after she had seen it.  My bed was so comfy I slept well the whole time, I did have to wake up a couple of times in the night though to turn off the air con because I forgot to before I went to bed. I'm forgetful like that, I never learn... that's what my boyfriend says to me.

I had nice look around the shops the buildings there are so pretty. I love going away and buying clothes and people are like 'where did you get that?' and you say 'oh I got it on holiday'. Its nice to have something different apart from the same old high street brands, where everyone you know has that same top in various different colours.
I think Francesca had a nice day too she loves modelling for the camera so she was a happy little bunny.

I got dragged to the food market, I hate the fish parts I just cant stand the smell, Francesca was going round touching all the fish it was a bit of a drama. They have the best selection of fruits and the cherry's are huge!

We went to a restaurant called El Patio - Bodega the food was excellent, the best food there. I'd say there was a proper Spanish feel to the place the paella was gorgeous. We had ice creams and a lovely walk around the whole town. I forgot to take a nice picture of the food, so you'll have to take my word for it that it is delicious.

I love graffiti and whilst wondering we saw a tag of a monkey in sunglasses on two separate sides of the town. I loved them so I had to take a photo!

On the last night there we were taken to a club called Sala-Gold by Alex from Telecom2 we went in the VIP area where you had to buy a whole bottle of the spirit of your choice and you got free soft drinks with it. we ended up drinking the whole bottle. After getting back at 4 am Francesca decided to wake me up at 9 am and tell me to 'get up now its morning time bobbin' (that's her nickname for me) I had a banging headache that's safe to say.

what do you think about Malaga, have you ever been? would you go?
